The Present

Remotely Delivered by Zoom Session
Included in ASK membership

For leaders, teachers and support staff who want to take responsibility for their own wellbeing

The Present is a new style of eight-week course designed to introduce wellbeing and mindfulness to busy adults. The course focuses on encouraging friendly, mindful awareness towards experience in the midst of busy lives. It offers opportunities to bring awareness to all elements of our lives; at home and in school and therefore a clearer sense of how to take care of our own wellbeing so that we are in a better position to support the wellbeing of the young people that we work with.

Once completed, this course is also a recognised Foundation Course should you wish to progress to training to teach mindfulness to pupils through the Present or Paws or .b curriculum.

Mindfulness practice increases children’s awareness of self, others and help them to direct their attention and control distraction.  In partnership with MISP (Mindfulness in Schools Programme), Inspire is offering training to teach mindfulness to primary aged pupils through the paws b curriculum.  This is a high quality training where the techniques and materials provided are fully grounded in research and evidence based practice emanating from Oxford, Cambridge and Bangor Universities.
